Workers require specific knowledge and proven practical competency to reduce the inherent risk when working with Hazardous Substances. Our courses aim to provide workers and PCBU with the necessary information to properly manage the risks from Refrigeration plant that utilise Flammable, Toxic, or Very-High-Pressure Refrigerants.

In this module, you will gain in-depth knowledge of Ammonia risk management.

COURSE OUTCOMES.

Through a combination of presentations, reading and activities, we will cover a range of topics, including:

- Legal Requirements
- History, Use, and Production of Ammonia
- Physiochemical properties
- Hazards and risk
- PPP selection and maintenance
- Safety-critical elements
- Standard Operating Procedures
- Incident management

By the end of this course, you will have a comprehensive understanding of Anhydrous Ammonia hazards and risks and the ability to apply advanced subject knowledge in real-world situations.

Refrigeration Technicians, Plant Operators, Fitters, Electricians, Health and Safety Professionals, Emergency Responders

PRE-REQUISITES:

It is recommended that participants have pre-existing Ammonia Refrigeration Competencies.

DURATION:

On average, this course demands 20 hours of commitment. Participants are advised to allocate no more than a few hours per day for optimal learning.
